We are changing the way we receive newsletter submissions in order to do a better job of including all events. I have dutifully searched FACEBOOK, my email, and the CVB Calendar for over 2 years and find that I am missing events and emails that are buried in the 100’s of emails I get each day from performers seeking contracts so I’ve created a new email address just for the newsletter. It is firstname.lastname@example.org. (this email address will not be monitored for content outside of the newsletter!)
When submitting information to be included in the SACAC weekly newsletter, please submit a .jpg or a .png file. Our newsletter program does not accept .pdf files- I don’t know why- so I lose quality in converting it. Please include all relevant information, preferably in the graphic, such as date, time, ticket information, etc. Here are some good examples:
If you cannot make a graphic, please send a picture and all relevant information and I will include it in a news block-please know that it will not stand out as well as the requested format. Also, please send me a link for tickets and more information in your email.
The NEW address for newsletter submission is email@example.com. This will allow me to quickly look through the email as I create the newsletter. All materials should be submitted as soon as possible but no later than the Monday preceding your event.
We link from our website to the San Angelo Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Calendar. Here are the instructions for adding events:
Send all your information to Lana@SanAngelo.org. Please include time, place and fees along with any phone numbers and websites related to your event. Please include your return email address.
Also, if you have a FACEBOOK event link, please send me a private message (Cynthia Lackey). I try to share the links as I see them, but FACEBOOK algorithms prevent me from seeing many of your events until they are in progress! This is especially true if you have paid to promote the event.
