San Angelo Cultural Affairs Council
Review Panel Policy
All grant applications must be reviewed individually and on their merit. The primary function of the Sub-Grant Review Panel is to study and submit recommendations regarding the qualitative merit of each application.
Funding decisions will be made by the Cultural Affairs Council Board of Directors in a separate session. Funds requested by an organization acting as a “sponsor” for a project will not affect that organization’s request for its own project or support.
-Panelists must not discuss grant applications with one another outside panel meetings.
-If a panelist has a conflict of interest with any of the grants submitted or feels that there is an appearance of conflict of interest, he or she must abstain from all discussions regarding such grants.
-If a conflict of interest leaves the panel without a quorum, the project must be reviewed by the remaining panelists and additional input will be sought from the SACAC Board of Directors.
-All information pertaining to the applications and discussion of the applications is strictly confidential.
